Education

The New Zealand Wound Care Society is showing its support for the education of health professionals involved in wound management by offering several scholarships during the year.

 

Further Study Scholarships

  • Three scholarships of $500 per semester, per year, are available for wound-related educational courses at levels 6 & 7 

  • One scholarship of $1000 per semester, per year, is available for postgraduate educational courses at level 10 

Timing

Semester one: Online applications open on 1 Oct,  closing date 30th of November. 

Semester two:  Online applications open on 1 March, closing date 30 April.  Note that Scholarships for the NZWCS Debridement Course can be applied for after the 30th of November.

Terms and Conditions

Applicants for these scholarships must:


• be a current Full Member or Corporate Member of the New Zealand Wound Care Society,
• have been a member for a minimum of one year at the time of application,
• not been the recipient of an NZWCS scholarship within the last 12 months,
• have the written support of their manager to attend the conference,
• complete a report suitable for the Tissue Issue using the Guidance for Reflective Writing' as a guide
• submit the report within three weeks of completing the course of study
